My answer is heparin therapy. This woman has multiple PE's following hip surgery & immobilization.

My answer is heparin. This is PE--immobilized after hip surgery, has v/q mismatch, intubation will not help. Therefore, tx underlying problem! NO other signs of fat embolism on exam ie. petechia, tachypnea, ALOC.

Yeah, but for PE you need other coagulation problem history too: lile smoking, hyperlipidemia, et all this most liky Dx for this pt is FE, not doubt about it. and the answer will be EE, not heparin.
