E.
PO2 is 70 mm Hg, need intuvation stat!

My answer is heparin therapy. This woman has multiple PE's following hip surgery & immobilization.

  #5

This is most likely fat embolism heparin will not have effect

More important ABCs are priority in emergency.

E for sure, first help her ABGs

& I agree with Robin, this is fat embolism & heparin is of no use here..

  #7

My answer is heparin. This is PE--immobilized after hip surgery, has v/q mismatch, intubation will not help. Therefore, tx underlying problem! NO other signs of fat embolism on exam ie. petechia, tachypnea, ALOC.

Yeah, but for PE you need other coagulation problem history too: lile smoking, hyperlipidemia, et all

this most liky Dx for this pt is FE, not doubt about it. and the answer will be EE, not heparin.

  #9

what is FE?
vq mismatch and 70 oxigen I will go with heparin
it has a defect does not matter how much you give there is a defect there
