Help everybody, I know I havent really contributed before but I used read up on a lot of other peoples threads. Now I thought, I need to put somthing up!
I need some collective guidance
I've gone throught the course 3 times (Kaplan lectures) and did the video on 1st read
Finished FA 2 times only
listened to GOljan once
did some Kaplan qbank
did UW world (getting only around 54% average)
and quite frankly, I cant study anymore.. Im feeling tired.. my brain doesnt want to absorb anymore, I want this process over with!! Help
what should i do. should I give it?? when should I give it?? will I ever feel ready? is this exam a lot of luck?

This happened to me too, but I didn't do quite as much as you did.
If you are ready for the exam, and are satisfied with your practice scores, I would say move your test up and take it, because you will not regain that energy anytime soon.
If you aren't satisfied, I would suggest you push your test date further, and allow your self a few days to a week of free time to relax, study free time.
Good luck with everything, and I hope you find a way around your lack of energy.

thanks alot... but tell me.. is this 54% average horribly bad.. or should just go over all the q's again one more time(semi-memorize them) and just give the exam? what do u think of this strategy?

hai,,,tak my advice give NBME form 2,,,,u can evaluate yourself much better.
if u are happy wit score go ahead n giv exam...if not tak some time,,,,theres no hurry young man all this stuff forms base of step2 too,so its wise to study,,,,PATIENCE IS THE KEY OF THIS EXAM.
even as u giv this exam u will realise this words,,,8 hours of exam,,,is there any exam in this WORLD longer than this,,,,NONE MY FRIEND.
INSHALLAH,u will do well,just cool down for a while,think n tak wise decision.

thanks alot almond, appreciate it bro! i'll finish up the last section of q's (have abt 80 left) then I'll set out time next week to give a simulated NBME. hope everything works out fine!

Hi afridi77. I am feeling the same way as you. I am exhausted from studying. I am scoring 55% in UW and I have scheduled my test on July 31. To my horror I just took NBME I and got 380 Have you done NBME forms? Will continue my UWs and read more FA. Good luck.

so ur also getting around the same mark...hmmm so does that mean.. this is normal?? I havent done the NBME yet.. but im thinking of doing it some time this on friday.. what does ur score of 380 correlate to>>? someone told me to do NBME III as its the best indication of where u'll stand.. ? then again someone else told me NBME II... so confusing..!@?

look U R never gonna feel ready even at the last moment u r gonna feel that something is left out. the most worrisome problem for u is the Mental block u r having forget the Initial Scores of UW at the moment lets U do a test which u have had done previous atleast somewhere 20 days ago so do that test again and see if u score somewhere bw 99% with knowing all the options in under 1 min then u r prepared.
The Most Difficult NBME forms r 3 & 4 Get somewhere Around 500 on each on of them and then u can u r preped up for a 236+ score on the original plan.
If th eMental Block Persists i simply suggest take a break of a week or couple depending but still do take a break dont let ur brain freeze while in the break just go over questions in a different place of study and envoirnment. give only 2-4 hrs of study and total chill and relax.

yes, i agree take an nbme practice exam. if you're happy with the results go ahead and take the real thing. otherwise take some time to focus on your weak areas in UW and cram those bugs and drugs. and i also agree that you shouldn't be afraid to take a couple days break and rejuvenate.

all I can say is YOU NEVER EVER WILL BE FEELING READY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even if you do everything that is supposed to be done 3 TIMES ...still you wont br feeling ready  let NBME decide for you

I agree with Feiza...You will never fill 100% ready but you will get to a point when you know it is time to take the exam...either that or your head will explode jajaja  , I think you have studied quite a lot do the NBME practice test now and you know what go ahead and schedule it when you fill the pressure of the exam coming you get strenght out of nowhere plus you fill motivated to study because you know the exam is coming..if you don't schedule you will end up filling like you are filling right now. In fact I scheduled my exam even before I started studying and never moved my appontment it has worked very good for me for all my exams. You should try it. Take care and go ahead...waiting for a long time does not make your score better in fact it might get worse... If you have studied that much don't be afraid and go for it!!!
