DON'T WORRY!!!

I just got my test results yesterday (along with half of the nation):

223/93

My goal was a 230, so I came just short of that.

Kaplan QBank: 100% completed 72% correct
USMLE World: 100% completed 54% correct
NBME Form 1 40 days before exam: 290 = 160
NBME Form 2 30 days before exam: 370 =184
NBME Form 3 20 days before exam: 400 = 192
NBME Form 4 1 week before exam: 400 = 192
Practice USMLE: 76%

Hey everyone...im new around here. I just took Step 1 on july 16 (this past monday) and i just had a question for drbculp....

I was just wondering how you felt leaving the test the day you took it. The reason i ask is because i am shooting for exactly the same score as you and in fact my scores up to the test day are almost identical.

USMLEworld cum 57%
NBME 2 - 5 weeks before 450
NBME 1 - 1 week before 500

i did not do the other two NBMEs. My only concern is i left that test pretty much scared out of my mind. I had no idea how it went, and in fact, i still cant stop worrying. So i was just wondering if you had some of the same feelings, considering it seems you were in the same boat as me before the test and we were both (i still am) shooting for the same score.

Well congratulations to you, im sure it feels fantastic and thanks for any words of wisdom you can hand down to me.

RMachi,

I honestly had no idea what to feel. 1. I was incredibly glad just to be DONE. 2. I felt ok, but at the same time I didn't feel good about feeling ok about the test. I knew I hadn't done horribly though. 3. I have my test scores and I still dont know how I really felt about the test when I was done. It was such a mix of being happy, anxious about my score, and worried. But I knew I had at least passed. smiling face Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

No no...thats fine.Thats all i was really looking for. I was just wondering how people feel after the exam...becasue the first 2 days afterwards i could not stop thinking about, a part of me was even wondering if failing could be a possibility. But since then, i have pulled myself together, relaxed a little more, and i am bit more confident in myself...as well as in my practice scores. Overall i think i was prepared and my practice scores do show that...so all i can hope is that i lived up to my potential.

Thanks for your feed back.
