hey, just found out i passed step 1 via oasis. personally,i feel FA is adequate for pharmacology. and Kaplan is more than enough. I read pharmacology in kaplan over and over again and i was really pissed bc towards the exam,i couldn't remember a lot of things i had read knowing how volatile pharmacology is. on the exam day,i failed some qns in pharmacology and was even more pissed bc the answers were right there in FA.In my opinion, for pharmacology, they just ask the basics viz mechanisms of action,SEs and interactions.Nothng too deep. If u can master it in FA,u'll be fine. GL!

Pharm is heavily tested in step 1, a little less than path but still much more than other subjects. Well maybe physiology is as tested as pharm, but all the other are less. At least it was so when I did it. I think the best source for studying pharm is kaplan: I used to watch Trevor's videos and then stoudy the corresponding part. It seems this way it takes longer but actually it takes less because you need to review it less times. I also did, after every chapter, qs from katzung and trevor's pharmacology (Not katzung's, but katzung & trevor's, it's a different one).I didn't use FA because i don't like it but maybe I am the only one in the world....

Pharm and physio are the most tested in step 1...especially combined. Also path. Kaplan books are more then enough. I thought pharm book was especially good. Combine kaplan books and first aid plus a bank and you'll be ready. GL
