wow. Harrison's heavy stuff. I was an Internist back home and studied Harrison for my diplomate boards. But bear in mind that by the time they've published whatever's in there the data is already 5-7 years old. Good for pathophysiology, though. my decision to come to the US was a tough one, I already had a good practice when my wife's papers came up. so now I have my greencard, taking the usmle was the next logical thing to do. Of course, I should have taken it back home but since it was so expensive I decided to forego it for a while... Once my youngest goes to daycare/school this 13th I will be starting Step 2. I wasn't able to bring the 2 volumes of Harrison so I brought the pocket companion instead. A family friend lent me her Kaplan books, though the Internal medicine and Surgery are missing. And lastly, FA. Bought that online. Now how to start? Im guessing I have to go right to Medicine right away coz the scope is so huge. Next would be the other subjects. I would be trying out UW about next month once I have some "Stock" knowledge.
