target dear, where are you? I'm bored done with 20 more qs...but i'm tired of all the science...i want some life i missed so much in life
ok life after usmle i am gonna just say positives so it goes in my brain...here we go...are you ready?
I love studying...i love learning... i really do...most times...i love to start working as a doctor...i love seeing and talking to patients...ok with this dream of getting back to where i always wanted to be, let me go back to the qs...

YES WE LOVE USMLE AND RIGHT NOW STEP1 (Stud, Atul, Shwe, match2010, simon73,Target, Novak, Jena99, Pursuit, Unique, Zade) Milee Paheli loving Step 2 CK right now. Genbot Oldkid -loving Step 3 Arlete - finished loving all steps
Today was a low profile day....severe spasms of erector spinae muscles -probaly key board or posture! Hot pack cold pack not helping much. Did a couple of pages in micro first aid after getting tired of Kaplan.
My target for 20th is gone and I am still behind !  OK TARGET superspeed from tomorrow- active learning - trying to retain everything as if it is my last read- quickly revise and atleast take NBME on 30th as scheduled! I AM CLOSER THAN I THINK (Stud it was Joel osteenl's message today at the sunday sermon).

Good Morning
for viruses, just read them once i would say from FA...and HIV from kaplan...then leave it and keep coming back to them later...you would learn a lot by doing questions....it's difficult to learn them in one go...focus on HIV, Hepatitis (FA+ Qs) and 2 tables in FA...know the gp names,,,DNA or RNA,,,enveloped or not,,,positive aor negative sense,,,vaccines....etc

great...so you killed those viruses...
i have a question for you... how can i do say 50 pages a day...is it a normal pace, 50 pages a day...or i have to just read super fast?...is this a silly qs?
anyway i like to finish it once as soon as possible...pls, let's do this together...
and i can feel his painbeen there myself...didn't like it at all...and i don't even think it had any benefits for me...don't tell him this though

Good morning folks !
This is the morning news edition Target slept at 2 and got upa t 10.30 She is fresh and ready to blast off 50 First Aid pages with her buddy Stud to study !!! She also will try to tackle behavioral chapters (AMAP) and other chapters in Micro. She wants to listen to Goljan too! and those challenging Q at Uworld.............can she do it all............we'll see at the end of the day! Yes if she is a SUPER WOMAN (as one of the readers acclaimed!).
Anyway enough jokes, g@uri (or is it gauri - I am going to call you that!) -thanks for going thru my journal and motivating me! Good to see first thing int he morning. I dont know how I manage everything........GOD GIVES ME STRENGTH for sure! I strongly believe it is all in the mind.........if you think you are strong and handle anything that comes your way.......JUST BRING IT ON is all you say. But I should admit about a year ago I was so overwhelmed that I was under so much responsibility -had hardly any motivation to do things . BUT all I did was change my thinking .........I thinkk I can do everything......I have enough time for everything.....and there is .......believe me! We are more capable than we think.
No that was too much for a first time visitor isnt it stud! I dont want to make her disappear from dropping by my journal!
STUD: I think first aid pages can be divivded into easily crammable pages and intense pages. Like vignettes youprobably can finish in under 5 min bvut classification of virus for eg need 15 min. DONT THINK 50 pages. Think 5 pages and master it - say in 1 hours - YOU CAN DO that ! Say even 30 min or even 1 hr doesnt matter but you should know the page cold!
Study with an attitude - I can answer any question that come in those 5 pages! Then move on to the next 5 pages ...do it 10 times and you end up with your target !(that's me:nod
EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO JOIN THE 5 page challenge in FA are welcome!
I like to tick of in the front page where it gives off page nos under different subjects vs organ system - say anat ( 3 pages in RS) tick off - 5 pages in CVS (tick off) it is lilke a game and keep ticking anat till you are done! Then start withp hysio maybe.........or do it system wise vertically down (I think!) whichever works for you. GOOD LUCK CHEERS!

just arrived in d lib...ok, let's start the game....my target would be 5 pages in 1 hour...so will report soon...i think today, i'll just keep reporting after each 5 pages or so...will see...i have 2 pages left from immuno...so will do those first...then pharma general,,,CVS pharma,,and finally GIT...

I am in a post prandial sleepy phase...I also do pharm antimicrobials since I am in micro still. 5 pages per hour is a good pace......lets do it !
