WOOOOOOOOOOOOhooooooooooooooooo! Finished 50 questions in anatomy. That wasn't the plan - to do questions  But that's me. Imperative!!!! Instant change in decisions........sometime worked out for good (like today) and sometimes not so good
Okay first - the sky was gloomy and was about to rain ......I love to be outside when it is like that - so preponed my cycle trip of the evening to mid-day trip......1/2 hr gone........back at 12.15...then wondered where to start in anat - I thought I need to know how they ask questions in anat and did 50 - not bad I didnt estimate but I must have missed 15 out of 50 - without studying - that's good I think!! Oh I wasted 1 hr over phone - my bad.
Okay now I am going to hit the books. It is 5.15 p.m. Stud I am joining you for that coffee.......the essence of my brain arousal .......the aroma filling my house and maybe that's why I like Barnes and Noble......Coffee pot ..........here I come! Plan to read anat for the rest of the eveing. Stud sorry for not reporting in 4 hrs......I will report 5 hrs from now as I am taking a break.

Now where did my last 5 hrs go? Dont ask. A friend called for dinner ......so had a nice dinner at a favorite place with my hero. Chilled out! Plan to was to study at B&N - but went just aroudn closing time 1/2 hr managed to read few pages first aid. Okay 10.30 pm now. Will study as much as I can till I feel sleepy. Keep working hard everybody.........

so u've been having fun today....me too, wt questions though...the best of all...till i sit for my test, i am gonna only enjoy my studies...absolutely nothing else...as veteran said,i am gonna live usmle till i'm done...hope u join me too and be there till the end...
u r managing everything very well...50q anatomy, all the histo qs, and now FA...well done!!!!
r u working tomorrow? anyway if yes, i'll be waiting till u r back...

Hmm
So good.. my friend prepared my favorite dish for me so I went there to eat!
I woke up late today..
but before going there I did what i did not do for a long time now..
I had just 45 min to leave and I read git instead of surfing/watching TV.. nothing great i believe, but a small and sure step.
So all of us have ups and downs.. the key is to still keep edging ahead

Hi Target, when do you plan to take USMLE? Have you taken NBME? How much do you aim to score? When did you graduate? Probably all the answers are in your previous posts! I would be glad to track your exam progress when I have time.

I am an old (no, very ollllllllllllllld) graduate graduated 1996 My exam was scheduled end of July which I post poned because I took a month off for CS. So officially it is on Aug 27. I have to make it ........no choice!
As regards to where I am in studies (yeah havent assessed myself with NBME) first read......but aim to finish by 15th. Still have micro, anat and Beh science. In the ones I have read I seem to score about 60-70%of Uworld. Rest I am trying to brush my rustic memory .
My aim is 99 (what do you say Stud, we can do it !) which I think I can if I put in my best........as my dad used to say when I was young,,,,,,,I want to do my best and leave the rest to God!

oh, dear dear,
99 is my ultimate dream too with regards to USMLE...since the time i heard about this test, i've told myself i want that score...but i have to lose money...anyway i am not even sure if i can pass the test in 2 weeks with a good enough score...i know you say, be positive but i am talking realistically now...
but you can do it...i can see you getting it...i can see you working for it...you have time...make your every single day, a day preparing for a 99...you have enough time to study hard only...don't lose it dear, like i did...if you want 99...please say no to everything else except ur books and ur precious hero...
ok, today had to take my father to his doctor...so i've only arrived just now in the library...it is 12.15pm...
will do my best to have a good day...good luck to us.

Very drowsy today.......very slow ........am in histology Kaplan .....about 100 pages to finish in that section. I am only at 20 pg. Let me get a coffee and start again with zeal.
Stud! Glad you are back in the game after doing a responsible job. I worry about my dad in India living alone. Even though you are a doc it means a lot to be with them thru their ailment. Okay no emotions only USMLE and my hero.......as you say Thanks for the inspirational words bud.

Okay though I felt sleepy I tugged on and I have completed all the general histology pages - about 50 pages.......now the systems histology should go easy hopefully....Hmmmmm..taking a break need to go to pharmacy and get some fresh air ! Stud ...how is going? If you need to take break (1-2 hrs) take it but not long (like an entire evening) and bring more enthusiasm to your studies. Milee is right , we learn how to ace this exam as we go along.

Dear journal, I did take a long break ....dinner, a good game of tennis with my hero who now calls me "a book addict" and by the way he thinks my avatar is mychildhood photo and said "you look weird when you were young", and then a drive to the pharmacy and replaced all my calories lost in tenis with a good milk shake
Anyway I feel fresh now after a shower and shall hit histo till I finish!

Histo done - so 90 pages Kaplan done today! It is 1:30 a.m my end. I scored well on the questions behind the chapter. My son got to have the answer sheet and check me ..........was more happy when I got wrong than right Tomorrow Gross anat after the few pages of embryo in Kaplan.....hope to finish in 1/2 day and then to Behavioral science videos.
Shwe good to see you here. I know without you the thread would not have been revived !
Ok time to sleep! Stud tomorrow new day .........actually today..........see u in the morning!

Good morning Journal , everyone and stud!
I am up and it is 8.30.........wouldnt have got up if not for my dad's call from India!!! Had just switched off the alarm at 7.a.m. My sleep cycles have changed..........my dad trained me to wake up at 6 a.m everyday.......(horrible days........summer and he would switch off the fan, mistune the radio........everything possible to wake us up as kids).....and in medschool even for an exam can't study past 10 p.m Now it is the other way round.........better start getting up again at 6 a.m , otherwise I am going to late for the exam center!!!!
Stud dear, you are probably a good reason I am studying here...........because I feel I have to report in 4 hrs.......never ever studied continuously like yday in a lllllllllooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time. I FEEL GOOD! I feel this exam is doable if I go at this rate. My son was giving me company reading books and taking quizzes to score points..........1000 points and he gets a transformer toy
Milee aim is to report "Anat done" today......let us see
