Hun hao, xie xie smiling face

Xiao Hua Mao here (I forgot my old password and email during the stress of exams). Actually (and I see now that this is just an annoyance to people who are only interested in passing the exam and not interested in discussing pharmacology, so apologies are in order), I am still curious about this. Elavil also uses first pass. My question mainly had to do with the fact that, during research for a paper on drug interactions, I came across the antidepressant tianeptine (Stablon, no US patent). It apparently is absorbed in the gut but doesn't use first pass metab...so I wondered...why? How? All antidepressants I can think of are...but, back to regurgitation. Good luck all and see you in another thread... smiling face
