For a second time Grade II concussion in a kid who plays contact sports, what is the recommendation?
-If asymptomatic 1 week, go back to sports in 1 month???
OR
-Terminate season???

That was my question too, I googled it, and most sources like kaplan were not cleared, and said both!!! but eMedicine says, that after second time grade II can return after one month if one week asymptomatic, but third time terminates the season. (grade III terminate season after second concussion) It seems more rational too. But I'm not sure, here is the link: http://www.emedicine.com/SPORTS/topic113.htm

Thanks for the explanation and the link... I agree with you about grade II second concussion: if one week asymptomatic, return in 1 month.
If repeated concussions: Terminate Season IF:
Grade I (X3)
Grade II (X3)-Right! (-typo in Kaplan because it says II(X2)<----Wrong?)
Grade III (X2)
