Alright guys......I'm not feeling too good about my situation right now. I just got done with my first read of Physio and I went ahead and took the Kaplan Assessment Exam for the subject to see how I would do. BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!!! I only got 30% on the exam. The questions seemed kind of tricky although in many cases I felt that I had narrowed down the questions to a couple of answers but I just couldn't recall important nitty gritty details that would give me the right answer. I would forget details from graphs and things like that..........basically what goes up and what goes down in different situations. That must mean I didn't learn much for my first read. This is just a real low point now. I was hoping to at least get around 50% on the exam. Do you guys have any suggestions? What should I do? I was planning on moving on to anatomy to finish up the rest of the subjects. I am going to have to read Physiology again but I don't know if I should do it now or just wait until the 2nd read of the subjects.

seriously, you should read askdoc's post thats pinned on the top. you can analyse where you have to improve. memory is a tricky thing (if yours is a memory problem). you have to analyze what ticks your memory - what stays - what evaporates - and how to fix it.

Aren't those Kap assessement tests supposed to be really super hard as a marketing tactic to sell the prep course? I am assuming that is the test they offer for free at med schools to promote the course. I could be wrong though.

I don't know about them being super hard or not. I'm wondering if Qbank is just as hard. I know that on the Kaplan timeline it says that if you score less than 40, you need 15 days to study Physio again. I'm hoping it will get better on the 2nd read. Man, this is a blow to the confidence level.

DRchromatin ... im studying physio. now (my first read) can you tell me how good did you study physio. the first time? ... so i dont end up in the same situation. How much are you scoring on the other Q sources such as Q book or even the ones in the physio. book?

I have not been using the Qbook.......maybe I should start though. As far as the questions at the end of the chapter, I did them for some chapters and for others I didn't although I didn't ever really keep track of my percentages on those. It took me almost 3 weeks to get through my first read. I would read the chapter and then watch the video and take notes in my books.

Im doing basicly the same thing too. Hope it ends up OK. Thanks for your help.
