by brain hemorhage i assume you mean a hemorrhagic stroke. hemorrhagic stroke usually has a h/o hypertension, sudden onset (but not as acute as a SAH )focal neurological deficits which gradually worsen and may progress to an altered mental status.the clinical features depend on the area of brain involved. e.g a putamen bleed will have lateral gaze palsy. a SAH on the other hand has a severe profound headache of abrubt onset and pt may have signs of meningeal irritation or minimal features and be sent home to come back within 10 days with a rebleed which is worse. these are the 2 kinds of hge and then there is the ishaemic stroke with usually a previous h/o TIA, no headache , no impaired consc the first thing you do is a ct scan to see if it is hge. iscaemia wont be seen till 24 hrs later but main idea of a ct is to rule out the hge. the clinical features depend on what area was involved a mca bleed will result in face and arm involvement and aphasia if dominant hemisphere involved, may have brocas if posterior frontal or wernickes if temporal involved ant cerebral wil have lower limbs involves with bladder involvement posterior cerebrals. quandrantopenia with macular sparing, cortical blindness etc cerebellar involvement has gait disturbances i hope this helps. will try to look for more stuff and let you know.
