Hi: while searching programs, I came across this term "ECFMG sponsored J-1 visa", does anyone have knowledge about that? Thanks!

If you need a visa to work in the USA for resident, the ECFMG sponsors the J-1 visa for the hospital. Check the ECFMG web site for more information.

Thanks bbb! Do all the programs accept ECFMG sponsored visa? I mean while I am going through program requirements, there are many programs that "DO NOT SPONSOR VISA"; but if we got a position there, would they accept ECFMG sponsored visa??? Are they two different things that I'm talking about or they are same? Thanks!

DO NOT SPONSOR VISA means that they won't complete the paper work for you to get a visa. You most likely wouldn't be interviewed there because when they see your application, they will know that you need a visa.
