I had done couple of rotations in US univ as a visiting med student in last 4 months, now I'm back to home country and have been emailing the faculty of that univ to write me LORs, as they had promised to do it when I was back there, but not a sngle one has done it till date, what should I do , should I email them futher, or call them and request them to do it, or just wait for some more time, they might just be busy ? Please clarify, thanks

I would say - do not wait too long - yes, they are busy- ALWAYS BUSY (talking from my own experience). But if you just wait for them to help you - it might never happen. It is your application - nobody else will take care of this if you don't. If they don't answer emails- call them, request to speak directly to them. Don't be arrogant, be polite but persistant and explain the time sensitivity of the matter. Also don't forget about the LOR guidelines- waiving(or not) your right to see it, signing in colored ink, AAMC ID- so everyone of them will need a LOR cover sheet to send it over to the ECFMG. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Sometimes the problem is (as in my case) that the letter-writers don't know about the deadlines.. So you can just politely tell them about the ECFMG/ERAS deadlines.
