In UW, SLE is not a contraindication of OCP, EXCEPT IF anti Ds DNA abs +ve, or evidence of renal affection as OCP will aggrevate the renal deterioration.
In Kaplan QBank, OCP are absolutely contra-indicated in SLE
So what is the ans..????

OCPs are contraindicated in SLE when the person has renal manifestations predominant... If you are not sure, then it's better to avoid the OCPs.

in Kaplan obs and gynae notes it is written that SLE is ab absolute CI for OCPs.
