Hi , CS PEOPLE !
I am so glad to join you now . I just found out that I passed CK through oasis trick and now , I can freely start focusing for CS right now . I already read FA while I was expecting my result but I didn' t practice any case yet as I heard that this exam is all about PRACTICE .
I plan on taking it at the end of august or beginning of september .
Any suggestion is Welcome !

I am also glad that you are already here to guide me in CS . I have a few questions for you if you don ' t mind .
When do you plan taking CS ?
Do you practice with a friend or just alone ?
Today , I just wrote down all the common questions to ask about symptoms in FA . I put them in my wall and I am gonna repeat them every day until I memorire and pronouce them all well . My english is not too good so I ' ve gotta practice a lot .

1.-I scheduled CS for September 4th, but I will take it earlier. Hopefully the first week of August. I took some time off from work to take care of this exam. So now I am going to eat CS, sleep CS and drink CS.
2.-I am practicing with friends, husband and anybody that walks in front of me who is willing to be my "clinical guineapig". Also i made arrangements to have a house phone, probably this friday so I can talk 24/7 with a phone study partner.
3.-That is a very good idea. i will do the same with "the closure". Don't forget to make your questions as simple as possible.

I like this idea very much and I am try to do that too even if it 's gonna gonna be easy for me since I am in a spanish country but we ' ll see .
I ' d also like to take it in august but I cannot be sure about that since I have visa issue , I hope they won ' t give me trouble to get it .
Anyway , Today , I keep doing my charts and tomorown I will start practicing with a friend .

Hey doc...
I am interested about how I could be a study partner... My exam is on the 9th of august, so I am getting my credit card ready to subscribe for UW... I did FA reading twice (my copy has only 27 cases:confused but didn't practice at all...

Well Justice , I am glad that you are interrested in me as a study patner but the problem is that I am not actually located in the US , I am actually in Mexico .... So you see , it would not be easy to communicate ...
Anyway , I plan on going for my CS visa soon , If I get it , we can do that .Are you in the US ?
I am still learning the common questions to ask , I am trying to memorize them now .

Doc, I'm in Wisconsin...
I want to ask a stupid question: why do you guys memorize those "standard" questions to ask? Should they be exactly as written in FA book or UW? Can you ask the Pt is your own words, way, etc??? I am just confused because I personally pay the least attention to that... If you are fluent in written English, shouldn't you be the same with your spoken one? Sorry if I didn't catch something...

Well , I guess you already made the point .If you are fluent in Written and Spoken English , I guess you don ' t have to memorize them .
As for me my friend , as you can see, even my written english is not too good so I ' ve gotta work on that but I agree with you .Check your spoken english when practicing with a patner , if you don ' t have any difficulty finding the apropriate work when taking the history , I guess you don ' t have to go there

Exactly, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!!
After a few cases you will see that it is not difficult, try to write the lastname of the patient, age, gender, chief complaint and DDs, then make your own questions based in the chief complaint and in your DDs and you will see that probably you will miss just few questions, then practice in 8 minutes all the history taking part. You need someone that speak english to practice with.

I start my practice today . I did first case in UW
I am still reading UW and also watching the video for PE . It dawn on me that it 's kinda different from the ones that I used to watch . Anyway I am gonna stick to UW

Today , I saw some UW videos ( Heart and Abdominal exam ) Those are kinda challenging . Anyway , since I am working at a clinic in the afternoon , I am going to practice the same thing on UW on my patients  . The only difference is in spanish but it ' all the same .

Today , I didn ' t have a lot patients in my clinic so I could ' t not perform the physical examination on them

That 's good to memorize some key points in FA . When do you plan on taking CS ?
Today I did 2 cases , one in FA , I practiced with a friend and the other one from UW with my pillow
I am getting better now since I started to practice .

Well , Now , it 's time to get serious with CS . There is no time to waste . I have to clear this exam as soon as possible .
I did 2 cases in uW , I practiced them with a friend
case 5 ---------------cough
case 6 ---------------- fatigue and weight loss
