Hi!all!I had been in USA for 3 yrs!I am finding it very difficult to study for USMLE with family because
1)you are way too dependant .
2)Even if you find a job ,you will loose it because you dont owe a car or it is difficult to study with 40hrs work!
3)This Exam is also very tough
4)You end up seeing all Doctors working around you but nobody helps or understands !
5)life becomes very boring/depressing/stressfull.
I am a old graduate 1996, but i am serious about this usmle.I am much intrested in forming a study group of IMG's Desi preferred Or start a new one next to one existing.I have no Visa issues ,i can work ,i had already worked full time cashier for 2 yrs.
The Idea is like near a transport take a big house and live and see how this goes.Advantages
1)Allthose who can work simply go and work 16hrs!
2)We get to study more!
3)save on bills!
4)We can Have our very own Room and our privacy.
5)friends help us forget loneliness .
6)we can plan take exams .
In short life becomes very easy.

I am 2nd year student in china.and want to give usmle exam.Is it that much tough if I will work orderly during my graduation? pleasr reply me.

Hai rebel71.Now that you are in USA and plan to do USMLE I want you to just focus on studies.Jobs in medical field are difficult but part time job will help you overcome some financial hardship.When you come here you are on your own.There is no organization whatsoever that helps foreign doctors.They don't want us and they don't like us but they can't do without us.It's a kind of catch 22 for all of us.If you can overcome that worm of being a doctor I suggest you go for a PA(physician assistant)course if you can get financial aid.It will take just two years and I can tell you you will not regret it.With your medical background you will fly through it.I could do it but I have already done with all my steps at huge expense both financial and mental.It is sheer grace of God and my wife that I am sane.Life is extremely tough if you have to work and study for an exam the output of which is unpredictable.I wish you all the best.This was my sincere advice to you as an elder brother and a well wisher.God be with you always.
