Inevitable abortion is defined as bleeding of intrauterine origin with progressive dilation of the cervix but without expulsion of products of conception before the 20th week of gestation. An incomplete abortion is defined as the partial expulsion of the products of conception before the 20th week of gestation.

incomplete- did not finish the job, there still some stuff inside. inevitable- theres nothing you can do. like taxes and death. both have dilated cervix, but one already started to put suff out and the other is going to but have not started yeat.

--agree with the above. but if you need it stated a different way: Both inevitable and incomplete abortion are causes of first trimester bleed. They both will have an open cervical os. They will both be managed by Emergency suction D&C. But the difference is: Inevitable abortion: NO POC passed, but it eventually will be (thus the term inevitable) Incomplete abortion: Some POC passed and some still remain. (thus the term incomplete) hope this helps.

"no passage of tissue through vagina" makes it INEVITABLE abortion.
