Hi everyone,

I am wondering how important it is to view Kaplan lecture notes for a great step1 score? Can I do it without viewing those lectures at all? They are SO time consuming and slow. How about Goljan lectures? Can I just stick to the book alone?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. While we are at it, should I spend money getting 2007 editions of kaplan books and 2007 First Aid or is it fine to study from 2004 books?

Thankyou so much for helping outsmiling face

Try the first lecture of Dr. Goljan (cell injury) ... you will end up hearing all the other ones!

Regarding the Kaplan DVDs ... its up to you ... try some of them ... see how much you like the teachers ... then make your decision.

I feel that physio is very good and you will get lots of info if you are old grad. Anatomy is good too. I haven't watch path and don't plan to watch.

depends on the which videos you have. i liked the older videos to the newer ones. as for goljan, yes u have to listen to the audio, in fact i skimmed thru the notes & listened to the goljan audio really well...& my patho scores sky rocketed.

as for kaplan videos, they do take up alot of time but some are really good like behavioral science. anatomy is pretty okay. as for physiology, the old video w/ dr. dunn was great but the new one w/ kudrith was a waste of complete time. it's the same w/ biochemsitry. the old one w/ the french dr. was really great & the new one wasn't worth it at all. but the new pharm is taught by the same french dr (old one was the british dude) was good, he correlates & integrates alot...

depends subject to subject....oh & btw micro wasn't worth it in the old or the new videos...

the kaplan dvds are amazing.i think it's just patho and microbio that are pretty lame.the rest are all worth your time.and goljan audio is a must.

How are the anatomy Kaplan videos? I'm going to start anatomy tomorrow and I was wondering whether or not I should watch the videos along with the notes.
