Do you know about Meiosis one and two.Difference in disjunction and the disorders?
I don't really understand that concept and that diagram if some one could pleae help me with it. Thanks.

You replicate once then divide twice, to generate 23, 1n.

By the end of prophase I you have 96, 4n
End of meiosis I 46, 2n; 2 daughter cells in total
End of meiosis II 23, 1n; 4 grand daughter cells in total


If takes place during meiosis I then you have 1 daughter cell (the fat one) with 4 copies of chromosomes and the other one (the skinny one) with none. Now the fat one will give birth to two fat grand daughters, resulting trisomy. The skinny daughter gives birth to 2 skinny grand daughters with 0 copy of the given chromosome.

If none disjunction takes place in meiosis II, then a daughter will give birth to a fat kid and a skinny kid.
