Hi guys,
First of all I thank my Lord for enabling me to accomplish such a great thing in my life........I trust in Him for my results too.
My Exam:
I had 65%IM,followed by Peds OBGYN Psych Surg in that order.THE EXAM WAS DOABLE........for me some qoestions were lengthy, some were 3-4 lines
IM:lots of rheuma ques scattered throughout the exam then cardio resp git were equally tested very little endocrine and surprisingly very little electrolytes.
Peds:all areas equally tested...lots of resp and ID
Psych:was okay better than step 1 anyways (my weaker area)mainly tested area was like schizo,anxiety disorders and mood disorders)
Surgery very little ques on trauma
OBGYN:next to peds lots of !st TM bleeding then contraception ques lots 3-4 ques from repd gyn and GYN mgncy
Overall impression of the exam was very good.........but lets see what the result will be.
My preparation:
[left]Duration:4months[/left]
Kaplan notes ,FA and Usmle world only.Only for reference I used CMDT in between(a very good Book)
USMLE CD taken 3 days before:38/40(only 1 block taken)
Usmleworld-62%

How do you compare UW to the real exam?
what about the concepts tested?

As a general rule, the better it felt when you said it, the more trouble it's going to get you into.

GOGETA :UW is very much comparable to the real exam and the bottomline is that your basic concepts should be very clear.It is the concepts that are to be learned from UW and not the ques itself although 3-4 questions were exactly same as in UW

Congratulations ...seems you did very well. I had a ques about UW?? How much time did you take to complete it? Were you able to revise also ? Did you make notes and how many readings of kaplan notes u were able to give?

draashna I was very much satisfied by my preparation and exam.....though I don t know what my score will be
anyways I took two months to complete it and 1 month to revise it thrice.Yes I made notes(colorful and precise)and I revised IM 4 times and all the others 3 times.UW notes thrice.....hope this will help you.....take care,GL to you all.
