Okay. Interesting again. I just feel that it is impossible to retain all of that information with all of the details from the first reading. I mean there are just so many things going on that it seems like I need to see the videos again to recapture all the concepts. Maybe I'm fooling myself..........I don't know. So far I have been using score95 and I have been scoring around 50% on the questions which is not good. I don't want to take any shortcuts......I want to do this the right way and get that 99.

The Qbank (2345 questions) and UW(2200 questions) take a long time..and its the most important. I am spendind full day in 50 questions each day..so I think if you will watch again all the videos..it will take a lot of time of your studies..

if you annotate your book well, there will be nothing for you to capture from the videos the 2nd time around and hence no need to watch them all over again. It might be a good idea to do that if you feel something is a weak spot for you, just watch those specific dvds, or those single topics. but you cannot feel the entire syllabus as a weak area after your first read. that would indicate that you did not do it right. rethink your study strategy then. also remember, subseqeunt reads must always be shorter than the earlier ones, coz if you've studied right, about 60% material should be in your head already[much of the matter is familiar by now], you just want to brush up now and try to push in the remaining 40%, not start over again from zero. good luck! p.s. keep at those qns. also think about moving to a higher yield source.

Thanks Paheli. I'm using score95 right now as a question bank that I can just use up to help me retain info and reinforce concepts since it has a lot of questions. about 2 months down the line I plan on getting Qbank and then after that, I will do UW.

the number of times u watch the video is pretty much upto you. i really wasted a huge amount of time watching the videos & then reading the notes. then i watched the new videos that came out. the advice that i gave my sis who's gona be doin the MLE soon is READ first then watch the video & if you do it chapter by chapter that's better. read a couple of chapters then watch the video on that topic. there's was a guy, maverick or i shouldn't take names, coz i can't remember who it was, who saw the videos once but he made sure he went really slowly & took notes really carefully so in the end watching the videos once was fine watching the videos takes a lot of time so the least number of times is better...

videos are worth your time but not that much.i mean,i have never heard of anyone going through them twice, let alone more than twice.so just keep taking notes while you are going through the dvds and you should be fine.

Alright guys, thanks for the sincere advice. Regarding the chapter by chapter approach, that is what I have been doing. First, I read the chapter and it doesn't really make sense out of the Kaplan notes and then I turn on the video and follow along in with the notes and everything seems to start coming together. After that, I do a quick re-read of the chapter material and read the chapter summary. That has been my approach so far. Also, lately I have been getting this really tight feeling of pressure in my neck and shoulder area from the long hours of studying. Any suggestions on how I could relieve this?

multifactorial is right, try not to go over two times or even one for that matter, i messed up & had to see the videos again the second time coz the first time around i didn't read the notes. i went ahead watched the videos before readin the notes, big mistake. as for your pain, i think we're all suffering. when i'm studyin for long hrs 12hrs a day my neck n' back kills frm the strain of lookin dwn onto a book. when i'm on the comp readin q's frm qbank n' typin my back arms & hands are in bad condition. well, i don't have a cure but u have ppl to sympathize.

propanalol, don't forget to take breaks in your study time and STRRRRREEEEEEEECCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. this is very important when you study for longer durations. moreover, try different positions on the chair and table, different heights of the table/book etc so that you don't get strain. see, if your body is comfortable then your brain will work without distractions.
