Which one do we do first:

-Endoscopy to assess extent of injury?

-Contrast swallow to look for perforation?

I've come across these 2 "next best step in management" from different question sources...

acid or alkali -----> 1st step is endoscopy for sure

U shud not use any contrast material if there is acid or alkali ingestion, the first step is always endoscopy after stabilization of patiene.
