Kaplan says that PID is the most comman cause of female infertility, UW says that peritoneal causes are first ( Endometriosis & peritoneal adhesions)...So which to believe

PID can cause adhesions, so maybe they are essentially the same. (?)

yeah ..i also agree with what dr divrgo said but the proplem is if they get both choices in one question !which we have to chose?

yes Dr.virgo is right, I just read the UW explanation, it divides the infertility causes into four categories, from which PID only fits in peritoneal causes(because that's the option that includes adhesions and PID causes infertility due to adhesions), I don't think they'll give both options in one q, but even if they give, rationally you should choose peritoneal, because PID is a subgroup of that, so peritoneal covers more cases.
