That depends on how much experience with H&P's and patient notes (data gathering and PE) as well as personal ethics in treating a patient in the US, you might have. If you have those... maximum two weeks. Study usmle world cases (just read them) and first aid for cs. That's all. The exam is not that bad. Concentrate more on step 1...that is a hard exam...the other is not...it is very exhausting but not difficult, especially if you have experience. If you don't have experience get a way to go to a private office and start seeing patients or practice with a friend for 2 weeks. Anyways with or without experience after your read all the cases practice three or four with a friend to get a fill out of time. I think that's the most difficult part of this exam..to master time management. If you can do that you'll do great. The cases are really easy and they don't care much about the diagnosis...they just care about communication. Summary: Experience: 2w.....1w of reading cases and 1 day of practicing 3 or 4 cases...ok if you fill guilty practice cases and read cases once more for a week... to tell you the truth if you have experience you just need a week to prepare...seriously No experience: 4w...2w of reading cases and 2w of practice in an office....you can do the practice prior to the reading..or whatever jajaja GL!!
