hey drmaye...I personally took Falcon Course for Step1 in Dallas, it really helped...also First Aid is a must for any of the Steps I think! So try to read First Aid a few times, memorize all the mnemonics and info there....it reeeally helps! THese prep courses are quite expensive.... but for IMGs who studied medicine in Spanish (like me) these courses are the best because they help shift your mindframe from Spanish to English...so they really help! Also, what they taught me in the first years of med school has really floated off ...and personally I lack the concentration ability to read 7 books by myself in any amount of time!! (yeah Im a freakin lazy ass bum!!:nod so the course helped in the sense that I was "forced" to study. However, I have had friends just read Kaplan books and still pass...so it really depends on your methods of studying....but I can say First Aid is a must!!! Good luck!!....also Subscribe to USMLEWORLD q-bank and eat that mother up! try to score between 60-70% they say and you will pass....
