Hey doctors of the world! im a dec-06 graduate hoping to get into US for anesthesiology! now ive been reading and reading on info on visas...mainly H1b and J1 visas...now what I know is that the J1 visa has a limit of 7 years plus the waiver thing bla bla...and the H1b visa has a 6 year limit but you get to apply for a Green Card later right? I think that is general information.

Now I have come to a point where i have to decide on which of the visas i can aplly to. So heres the thing...anyone who reads this can PLEASE share experiences on one or both visas...like difficulty of application, likelihood af denial...etc for both...i personally am aiming for the H1b but someone said that they require you to pass Step 3? true?

Also...is there ANY way of getting into a hospital regularly WITHOUT applying to the match? the thing is that I wont be able to get my scores in time for the 2007-08 match but i dont want to wait until next year....

Thanks!
