i just wanted to get a quick concensus here as to what kind of percentages y'all are getting on US world questions.. cuz either im degenerating or these q's are very tough!@?? any feed back would be greatly appreciated,
PLus any other feedback regarding the USMLE World q's would be nice too cuz I heard that these are the best q's nowadays to prepare for step 1 and help in ensuring a high score.

So far I got 55 % , cumulative
I heard that its a learning tool ....But sometimes I want to use some other kind of tool on UW

thats such a coincidence cuz im also averaging out around the same %.. @55.. i know that its a learning tool... but is 55 a good sign? when do i know that im ready.. cuz im at the point now where im starting to feel studiedddd out!!

I averaged 66 or 68 (can't remember) and got 97/241

Hi Dncosta, i thot the same thing as well, as in i thot we were in the same club of awaitin results.I was gettin worried that mayb people had started seein the results and i was left out!I was comforted when i saw that its your step2.Not to worry, we just have one more wednesday,by the followin wednesday,God willing we will be preparing to to celebrate.I hope we all get great scores,like Gogeta said, we should be compensated for our patience [like we had a choice ]

I got 49% cum % correct I did it unused/time/mix
My last 2 new sets of new questions I remember I did bad, but before that everytime they put new questions I was scoring more than 56%
Then I just redo them till my last day I ended up with a 56% after redoing it alot.

For Step 1, I got around 75% but predominantly in tutor mode. I left the Prometric center confident, but maybe it is just my brain suppressing the questions I got wrong. As time passes, I really have no idea how it went, but still optimistic.

so with a 49 cum. Im suppose to be expecting what?
Dont be shy and dont worry just write honestlly what you think.
I think Im between 175- 200
but I hope you can give me a more realistic number and a smaller margen

Gogeta, if these scores were directly linked, based on people's experience, I guess you would fall between 80-85 which is a comfortable zone. BUT, nobody's experience can be fully transported to your or someone else's world, just a rough estimate. Let's pray and hope both of us get great scores in 12 days.

dncosta will receive an awesome score (again)...
GOGETA will receive a very good score because people around here like her(him?) so much they sent a lot of good energy during the test date.

arlete lets hope your predictions about me are correct.
Now like Goljan says, with half of brain we all can figure that Acosta at least will PASS the question is with more than 240 yes or not? 99 is for sure

after talking with the police, OASIS is the least of my worries so, this is what I will do next.
try to do something in the website to forget how wrong this day is.

So is the US students average a 55% on UW and the US student average in USMLE step1 score is a 217 then I could conclude that a 49% is more than 185.
Now have in mind Im bad in stadistics so correct me if im wrong

When people say UW questions are tough, what does it actually mean?
1. Is it about stuff you never heard
2. Stuff you heard but neglected as not high yield
3. Stuff you heard but was presented in a twisted manner (complicated question)
4. Answer choices too closely related
etc.
I would appreciate if you can elaborate on the toughness of the UW qbank.

its the same high yield stuff ,but needs more head scratching ...
After 5 blocks of 50 Qs u get used to their way of asking things.
Behav.science is the easiest ( almost kiddish)
(WHO TOLD ME ? .....I did Kaplan Q bank before this...compared to that ,this is my incomplete report )

I am around 67% cumulative , doing it in unused/time/mix mode. my exam date is 23 aug.
I personally feel questions on UW are tough because they are resented in a little twisted manner. but the explaiations they offer for them are too good.
I do 1 block daily and spend the rest of the day reading their explainations, followed by relavent theory from kaplans for that topic, concentrating more on the questions i have gone wrong. Rest of the day i spend doing some theory and q-book
Once i feel confident i will try doing seven blocks in a day (once) and then read explainations over a period of 2-3 days so i will feel confident about sitting through that much time
Once i finish things in this way, i will do kaplans once again from 1-15 august, followed by notes for 2-3 days
Any sugg with regards to using Uw in some alternative way??
