hi all, afterr going through the forum and discovering that the UW q bank seems to be everyone and their mother's choice for the step 2 CK, i decided to switch to it from kaplan which i had followed for step 1. but, my god, was it tough...! i found kaplan for step 1 a lot easier and the actual exam too was on similar lines. UW for step 2 CK seems way more tougher. i'm quite unable to go over 65% on my first tries. what would be the average score you need to get on this qbank to get a good score on the actual exam...? many say its about 70%, but i just want some MORE tonic for my crushed soul...!! please gimme some manna in the wilderness....

This is a normal feeling for those new to UW. But you'll hear from a lot of people in the high 50s and mid 60s that jumped to 99 in the real exam. So keep working, you're on the right track.

dncosta,

I wish what u say is true... My score at UW 50%. Cant postpone the test. Thats the reason i did not take the NBME. Hope I survive.

Follow the exam score threat to get a feel for what UW scores correlate to in the CK.

I was just telling this to friend of mine that proposed me to go to the cinema to watch "Hostel II" and tried to convince me sayng that he heard it's one of the scariest movies ever done, and I replied "Can it be more scary than UW? I doubt it!"

No, seroiusly that's normal but I think it's good because this way we prepare to the worst scenario possible. From what I heard if you have 70% or close on UW you should score >95, but you know, these inferences should be taken veeeery carefully. Aniway I think that's what our target should be but keeping in mind that even if we cannot reach this target and we are stuck at scoring in the sixties on UW we could still have a very good test performance.
