Hi guys! I am willing to do OBGYN in the future, however I don´t think I have the time to enter this match. I have noticed though, that these Transitional year programmes have the application and interview deadlines later than all other programmes, plus they would give me a good year USCE. I have tried to look for info about them, but wasn´t really successful.
Does anyone have an idea of the things this programmes look at? How competitive are they??
What scores are the minimun on the steps??
Do they consider IMG´s?
Or are these programmes only for USMG´s persuing specialties like Radio, Derma, a.s.o?
Any of these programmes you know that offer H1B´s?

hcm11...hello.....you sound a lot like me, I've read a couple of your posts and you have asked basically the same questions that I have, so I can tell you what they answered about transitional years:
They told me that transitional year is also very competititve, I also thought of doing it for USCE but people from the forum told me that a lot of AMGs want transitional years so they are hard to get in.
I think that with your step 1 and cs, you are good for sep 1 deadline application, and then just do step 2 ck before interviews, like you say, so that the programs will get the score by oct-november. I don't know if time is an issue for you, for example I am an old IMG so for me to wait another year is so stressfull, but if you are fresh out of med school and if you can prepare for another year to get USCE and Lors I think that is a good plan B, but you don't loose anything BUT MONEY (of course), if you apply this year, maybe you will get lucky and get some interviews, now we are in JULY, try to get some USCE in AUGUST-SEPTEMBER, so that you can put in your application that you are currently doing an observership or something.
