In a patient with CIN-II treated----How should be the follow up be?
Can anybody give a concise outline of the follow up of the PAPS smear?

As usual I didn't know the answer to your q, I think I will never remember all this stuff... So I checked on UpToDate.
For biopsy confirmed CIN2/3 the follw up is:
-Cervical cytology or cytology + colposcopy w endocervical curretage every 6 mo after treatment until you get three consecutive negative results
-After these 3 negative results do annual follow up till you get 3 consecutive negative results
-If ASC or greater is detected do colposcopy (if not done as part of F/U)

when it should started--PAP SMEAR?
AT ONSET OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY
OR
AGE OF 21 OR 18??? RECENT RECOMMENDATION 21 age ?? anybody knows?
