ACANTHOSIS: An increase in the thickness of the STRATUM SPINOSUM of the epidermis.
ACANTHOLYSIS: Separation of individual epidermal keratinocytes (STRATUM GRANULOSUM) from their neighbor cells
PARAKERATOSIS: Retention of nuclei in the cells of the STRATUM CORNEUM of the epidermis.
HYPERKERATOSIS: Thickening of the horny layer of the epidermis or mucous membrane.
SAPONGIOSIS. Loss of Glial cells in CNS ( do not remember the definition exactly
