what's the importance of asking -to swallow in exmn?-i dont think they r testing any Cranial nerves.......thyroid swelling is unrelated to it.
how do i ask about lyme's disease-tick bite followed by rash or i can use the name?

just saw its given in UW-lime's can be asked by H?O living in the endemic areas,rash and tick bite and so on

well swalloing doesnt test the 9th CN ?

Swalloing is for thyroid exam.
9th and 10th CN are tested by :
1-the Gag reflex (put the tongue-depressor on the base of the tongue)
2-Say AHHHHH : see if the uvula is deviated
