if I were to start prep all over again, then I would do FA first, then Kaplan notes(either from webprep or through classifieds over forums), then listen to Goljan audio, do Kaplan again, do online qbank (Kaplan), then again Kaplan and FA several times, and read the Goljan 100 pages. Also would be active on the subject forums.
all the best, Fernando.

could someone please explain what the goljan audio is and what the goljan 100 is?

I know about the smaller goljan notes. but the new one is really new to me...

thanks

Just one more question...do you think it isn`t necessary to study BRS? And about Goljan`s, how many hours has the audio? I`m trying to buy it from one forum but I`m a little worried to get something fake. :|

Dear Meg,I`ve written you a messege about your last answer but i think I did something wrong because it was deleted :? . So, lets start again. Thank you very much for the advice on the books :P . At least now i have a clue about where to start. Good luck on your step2 prep. Stay in touch. See you soon, Fernanda. My email: fsdmd@yahoo.com.br

Have you read this books?........if so Are they a good source? .....if you donīt please tell me what you have heard about it. Beside kaplan and FA y bought Brs biochemestry, Behavioral SC, Pathology. Do you think Im on the right path or not ?..........Do you think the material I bought is weak in any subject??

I think the books you have are real good. I did not use BRS biochem, I had used Lippincott (1 reading from a library). Others are fine, you are on track. Keep a schedule and stick to it. Also be active on the subjects forums.
all the best,
Meg

I am not sure if the 2003 cd would be upto date. I had seen a 2001 cd and then used the online one in Jan, the online one was way different and I think it is worth the money.
qbank is better than iv bank because it reflects the main exam real well. IV bank is symptom based and not that important, I did not use it.
all the best,

Everyone is talking about the 100pg, but I have not had any luck finding them. Can anyone help?

Well, i'm a new comer here too. And i guess at risk of being repetitive. Congrats Meg! Praise the Lord.

However, i haven't had luck finding the "Goljan 100pg", though i managed to find a scruffy looking pdf of the goljan 36 pg. What are the differences apart from sheer quantity of info?

  #71

Hi xeroorex, grin

I found the 36pg also, but no luck with 100pg version. Everyone talks about it, but nobody seems to know where to find it. If you have any luck.....please let me know, and I will do the same.

I think that 100 pages is not available freely, some classified forums might have it. The 36 pages one has primarily on Patho, the 100 pages has Anat, Biochem, Pharm, Physio, Behavior in addition to Patho.

all the best,
Meg

Where can I find these classified forums? No cost is too great for excellent preparation! smiling face

Hi meg,

I am new in this forum. I read a lot of your posted messages and found them very helpful. First of all Congratulations to you on your great score!
I need your valuable advice about the following questions:
1- I have Kaplan Step 1 intense prep review 2000 edition. Do you know that are they same as Kaplan lecture notes that are available with center or live prep. ( I also have Kaplan review books 2001, (home study kit, 2 volumes) but I think its too lengthy, and I can't cover it in 3 months.
I am planning to take step 1 in july. I have just started my preparation. But I am confused about books. Every one in this forum said about Kaplan notes. I dont know whether I have the same notes or not.
2- I am planning to register for Q-bank, in your opinion is it worth registering it for a 3-month Q-bank or a 1-month Q-bank?
3- what is your opinion about Kaplan IV vignettes?

Thank you.
