yes dopamine does count as a catecholamine....its dopamine....

if so does administration of epinephrine, decrease milk production?

By the way can epinephrine cross the BBB?

the prolactin releasing inhibiting factor is secreted through dopaminergic pathway... so it should be dopamine
and yes... dopamine is counted as catecholamine

for the bbb part... at least dopamine cannot cross bbb or otherwise we would give dopamine directly to patients with parkinson's but not L-dopa)... i am not sure if it's the case for other catecholamines
