blueprints pediatrics is excellent. I rate it as 5/5. blueprints IM,psych, ob/gy are ok. But please never even touch surgery blueprints. I strongly recommand kaplan DVDs, they are excellent.

yes. I started studying kaplan notes but they seemed like a torture to me. I hated them. So I put them away and started studying blueprints I did all blueprints twice and watched DVDs for IM, obstetrics, surgery, epidemiology and ethics. I fell in love with kaplan DVDS and I believe they are the best materials for preparation. It's a pity that I didn't have time to watch them all. Kaplan DVDs are extremely good.

Hey Nadia, congrats you deserve it! Just a couple of queries: 1. Most people believe that Surgery prof is just reading from the notes. Do you think it is still useful? 2. Did you do UW more than once? Also, how much of the exam do you think is covered by UW alone?

thanks everybody for nice wishes. coolmavs. You know it depends on how you learn? with your ears or eyes. I'm kinda person to like to listen of course listen to great teachers not every teacher. I love Dr. Pestana who does kaplan DVD surgery. I love him and I beileve he is a GREAT teacher. The way that he presents the cases and discusses them with a strong voice and very appropriate emphases on the points made me feel like a surgeon. I alos heard a lot that people don't like his DVDS and I'm simply surprised!! As you see every body studys kaplan notes and I think I'm the only who did study blueprints. It means people are different and you can never get same ideas from different people. For me he is GREAT and I enjoyed every second of his lectures. He never said a single useless word.

oh about your second question, as I posted before I did UW once but I did my wrong questions in IM again. UW has covered a lot of unimportant and strange subjest to make itself unneccessarily difficult. In real exam you don't see such questions and all the questions are fair and can be covered by your basic knowledge about the clinical concepts. On the exam day I had fever, diarrhea, sore throat and stomachache and had slept just 2 hours he night before, so my condition was terrible. Otherwise exam was totally fair and nice.
