Can someone explain different types of psychotherapies and their clinical application?

lemme start with few specific ones here:
- assertiveness training- a component of cognitive behavioral therapy aimed at enhancing social skills and therefore best utilized for "social phobia"
- exposure and cognitive therapy along with group therapy are best utilized for PTSD
- psychodynamic psychotherapy - improves image of self and better adpats the person to deal with stressors in life - utilized for adjustment disorder
- cognitive psychotherapy - utilized for all somatoform disorders

What is the drug of choice for Gen Anxiety-- Buspirone or Benzo???

we should try to avoid benzo as much as possible because it has addictiv potential, ssri buspirone and venlafaxine are drugs of choice

For gen anexiety dis, both r imp but if u have to choose between them, Buspirone is ur ans

thank u guys for ur help. I have another question that MAOIs and SSRIs should not b used together in a patient but if u want to substitute MAOIs for SSRIs, how much time interval should be there??/

For stage anxiety B blockers are drug of choice but if the pt is asthmatic what other drug u can use????
