ok i have 2 complete my story becuz important part is missing
i am not gonna take it after 2 months but i will study for 2 months
r u confused? let me explain
i am in preclinical phase of medschool i finish 2 yrs out of 3 so i have still 1 yr 2 be eligible 4 usmle
but i decide 2do some reading this summer so i get familiar with the material
so after 2 months i will start medschool
i know it may seem insanity 4 some but 4 me i know this is the right 2 do
i basicly had all courses in medschool except 4 neuroscience & some parts of anatomy
so as i said i never studied behsci=> except 4 some edpidemio & statistics
so it wont hurt me if i read about human development, alcoholism, schizophrenia....
getting used to MCQ in usmle way is good i think
so how my journey 2 usmle started
the first time i heared about usmle was after 1st yr of medschool i started 2 ask what it takes 2 b doc in USA & thats was the first time i knew about the requirements & license xams
so at that time ( a yr ago) i started collecting the material but some were not avilable at that time but i got some & i strart doing them with my course work
so my goal is to catch up with subject like biochemistry & behsci & refresh my brain with the other subjects
so please do NOT treat me as immature 
it has been almost a yr know since i visit this forum & other forums
see what ppl r doing, how r they studying, how r they organizing there time, getting in contact with IMG & americans..have my queries answered..
so i relatively know alot know regarding those stuff of prep so do hesitate 2 ask

if you you are familiar with everything this timeline shouldn't be a problem.
especially for determined medical student.

ok so this is what i did so far:
i start behsci it was not easy i felt that i just grasp some facts & did study only the chapters which r explained in audio the rest i have not read,
i did genetics & it was very intersting i am planning 2 do second reading soon
i started physio with cardio & endocrin => life is good
biochem is disaster i started metabolism & it is not easy 
so tonight i will prepare serious study schedule & i will stick 2 it

You big guys are almost there. Just a little more patience and hopfully youll be doing really great. But for us new guys we are still experimenting with plans and materials.
(atleast thats my case)

Well My 2 Cents for U Praying r that Dont Experiment. u have the Luxury of going any and every material right now cos u r on ur First Read. Just Read and Understand Thts all. Then On ur 2nd read it shud make sense to u. When Reading Different Books just pick up point imp and leave the book the longer u stay there to read the book longer it will take u to finish ur goal. The Worst part is tht if u r taking long enuf for ur goals u will be forgetting the previous material.

ok i will post what i did until now...
2day i broke up in tears
i promised that i will dedicate myself 2 studying this summer but i disapoint myself
in school i always been the student who challenge others but now that i am studying alone i felt my enthusiasm fade
i put about 3 schedules until now & never stick 2 any
every day i study what my mode tells me 2
i felt overwhelmed by the material becuz there r many facts that were not covered during courses 
so i started in the very begining by behsci audio it was ok put i did not read the notes & not all chapters r explained in audio
i then moved 2 genetics & it was fantastic i finish it all from audio & did kaplan q bank genetics mcq it was good although i feel i need 2 review population genetics
i then moved 2 biochem starting with metabolism chapter & at this moment i felt resentment toward my medschool & faculty ... how poor my knowledge & my school colleague n this subject ..so i reached glycolysis & gave up...
then i did physio starting with cardio which was so so then endocrine but i was a bit pooring the guy on audio so i did not complete it .. iam strong on endocrine any way but i was devastated that i dont have audio for respiratory & renal which i am in need 4 since i need some explanation in these..
now i am doing micro it is ok the audio is beneficial & i read FA chapter but did not read kap LN yet..
i started patho by goljan audio i done the first 2 audio of general patho
as u can c i am the most unorganized & insane med studnt u will ever c
i want 2 b more productive i mean i dont engage in social life just 2 b dedicated but i end up wasting my time
why do i keep 2 hurt my self this way
the stupidity in life is 2 know what withdraw u back nut never trying 2 change
is there more insanity than doing the same every day & expecting deferent results??
may God guide me 2 the right road
2 yrs back i did not know what it takes 2 get residency in us, i did not know what usmle is
1 yr back i started collecting the material & using some it (the chapters that r covered in medschool) along with my courses
now their r new editions of the book & i updated my collection & gathered audio that i did not have b4
i mean doesnt that look enthusiastic 2 u ?? but now when it comes 2 actions i became lazy student

yeah i forget 2 mention my journey in this forum & other forms started 1 yr ago ..
i got in contact with americans & img taking step 1 c what they r doing, how r they studying, how r they organizing their time, i gathered as much as i can as based on it i realized what i have 2 read, what 2 use, what it takes 2 beat the mean, i learned about nbme & how r ppl assessing their progress .. but no i still insist in being insane
i request my self 2 stick 2 my schedule & taking the optimum of my time & taking break from this forum ( which i know i can NOT do)

i undertood "insane" in on other way ... more like "study nurd" (you know what i mean) - like youre going to kill your self with the studies - , thats what i wanted to do!
Oh well, there is something wrong, i just dont know what it is... the feeling that there isnt an exam waiting for me tomorrow or the day after it makes me delay as much as i want! i hare school exams but now i know why they have them (so we study!!!!!!)
