1. I am planning to go to US on my existing tourist visa for my CS. can I use the same visa for a susequent 3 month observership that I am getting in a teaching hospital.
2. can you change a b2 into student visa while being in the USA that allws you to do research.

I did my one- month observership on my tourist visa . The hospital didn't care at all what visa I was on as long as I was legal . In order to be granted a month entry permit at the US border ( even though I had a 10 year visa ) I had to show the officer at the border the letter from the hospital stating that I have business with them for a month ...otherwise it's up to them for how long they give it .
