How much time is appropriate to prepare for step3 given that one starts right after step2, inorder to get a decent score!

Depends on what "decent" score are you aiming for, how much u got on S2, material used..., from what I have been reading in the forum I would say from 1 to 5 months, maybe if u just took s2 and did well 2-3 months for prep would be ok
