2006 grad
step 1 244/99
step 2 248/99
cs passed
ecfmg certified on spet 1st
NO USCE
NO USLOR

i think last two things are the one hurting me badly this yr.

  #135

thanks for the reply muzammil.
you have great credentials, probably the last 2 factors are important.
specially the LORs, (which you often get through USCE...)
the best of lucks...

i got emial form presbytarian columbia that they were withdrawing undesignated preliminary seats from match.

  #137

can they do that so late in the season ???

  #138

To my knowledge, NYP (Columbia) is one of very few programs that sponsors H-1.

And they just blew that precious opportunity away shaking head

Funny thing is that NYP (Columbia) is only sponsoring H-1, they do not sponsor J-1 according to their web page confused

How's the interview trail update?

So far it's not looking that great for me..but I can't complain..good luck to all..

Rejections: 20
Interviews: 9

keep those fingers crossed!

  #140

Programs have til Jan 31 to decide number of positions to put for match.. if they are withdrawing some positions- it usually means they are offering prematch to someone or rarely the funding at departmental level is not very good (usually they would reduce the # of seats but not take away all the preliminary)..

  #141

congratulations doar for getting 9 interviews. what are your credentials doar? are u a us citizen?

  #142

Do you guys know how long we should wait until we can start to worry? Do programs continue to send out rejections/interviews in late November? Basically I am asking if there is a certain date that after this passes, we shouldn't expect any more IV's...?shaking head

  #143

it is eerily quiet for me this week except for the call from howard. with only 3 iv's, of course i am worried but i just say to myself that all i need is one program to accept me. so i will try and quiet my mind and comfort my soul with prayers.

good luck all.
