hey hey hey, i thought i would be seeing people already made their huge lists of surgery programs to apply to.....but no worries its never too late, and right now its definitely the ideal time, so muzammil,zygone,kakamath....lets start it, keep others motivated and pool in as much info as can here, to help not only ourselves but all the surgery applicants for years to come....hmmm that sounds motivational, ain't it...yu bet! for the starters, i am searching out the programs prople applied to last year and the year before, make out a list of rejected aplications and accepted ones based on people's experiences from the year before. i just received my score for step2, and i am just so ready to crack the system up....theres gotta be something and we have to find it.... good luck

email the coordinators and ask them about it, they will provide u the best asnwers, because if your application will not be considered then taking a chance isa waste of money, email all programs with such reservation. good luck

Hello, I just started to register in ERAS and requested ERAS token today. So I"m kind of late. When is the latest possibility to apply for surgery resideny? I know that there are different deadlines, but what is the average approximately? Would end of September be ok?

yes. end of sept will be okay for most programs but you run the risk that your application may not be downloaded because they already have the numbers they need.

and guys, i want to ask, whether you have any back-up plans? i was earlier thinking about aplying to medicine, just for safe-keeping, but i have dropped that idea, thinking that interview calls from those medicine programs will distract me...so as for me its only surgery. but i am confused, is it a good thing or a bad thing? any comments good luck people.

OK, end of September is ok for most programs to apply, but these guys then screen all the applications at once. Any ideas when does it happen?

really, is that so, are all the applications scanned at once, i dont think so, because if that were the case the program would do so after the deadline passes, and so many programs start sending interview calls even before the deadline ends...i think its an ongoing process.... hopefully bbb can shed somelight here anyway good luck
