A month after 80% of the nephrons are destroyed, what will the blood urea concentration be, assuming it was 5 mmol/L before the disease occurred and assuming dietary protein remains the same? A. 25 mmol/L B. 5 mmol/L C. 6 mmol/L D. Continuously rising

this one was really good...... actually i too went for option D...... but if A is the answer....there had to be a reason... i thought why not think of clearence of urea... if nephron ability normally was 100% the serum level was 5... considering first order kinetics...... 100.................5 50...................10 25....................20 20..................~25 on left was the functioning nephrons left on the right is serum level of urea. plz tell me was i correct
