does the answer have to do with only a fifth of the nephrons being available for filtration pruposes? thanks

this one was really good......
actually i too went for option D......
but if A is the answer....there had to be a reason...

i thought why not think of clearence of urea...
if nephron ability normally was 100% the serum level was 5...
considering first order kinetics......
100.................5
50...................10
25....................20
20..................~25

on left was the functioning nephrons left
on the right is serum level of urea.

plz tell me was i correct
