I'm thinking about taking a practice session a day before the real exam at the prometric center, but I always seem to get lost trying to schedule for it. Can we go straight to prometric site and book it, or do we also have to go thru the ECFMG site just like step 1?

I've been looking for an info on the web but thought it'd be prob quicker to ask here... thanks for any input.

Also, if anybody have tried that session, any pros and cons?? Did you think it was worth it?

Thanks !

you have to register for it through ecfmg.org and it isnt really worth it from what i have heard.

Oh... thanks so much multifactorial! I just had a full day before my exam due to my flight, so thought I may use it to locate myself and all. That's helpful info though. Thanks very much.

Also while I'm at it, is it possible to get out of the center during break (to get coffee or something) or for somebody else (other than those who are taking the test) to come into the lobby or something? Just thought it'd be nice to have hot meals and all ... I know it's a silly question for such a big day, but just thought it'd be nice...!

Thanks.

Yes, you can do that. Good luck!

I have read different experiences, some were not able to get out, or be even visited. Mine center also does not allow us to leave the center, usually they provide the microwave with fridge. As you see it differs, so I would advice you to call your center for more info, or better go there to check it out yourself.

GL on your exam.

Thanks dncosta & GoodGirl smiling face

Seems it depends on where you test - I will give them a call and ask about it then. It'd be nice to have a microwave for sure. Thank you for your inputs!
