is it ok to ask CAGE qts to a depressed and unco-operative pt?
similarly sexual history in a 76 yr old man?
would it be considered inconsiderate/stupid by the SPs?

well smal CAGE is asked to every patients who says i have drinks ..... only if he says he drinks occasionally or once in blue moon or very rarely no need to go in for CAGE , but otherwise ask cage for all others .... u must b already knowin single yes for any CAGE ....go for counselling ..otherwise counsellin not required ....
if depressed or uncooperative sp says yes he drinks ask CAGE
sexual history ..... well i wud ask whether he is sexually active .... then if he says no .. is there any particular reason .... if he says yes .... are u having any problems with sexual functions .... i wud not go for any STD history in past unless it is obvious case .....
