DrOrange, first of all, i'm sorry to hear that you didn't make it. but in my honest opinion, this is where i think u went wrong and my advice.
YOU USED TOO MANY SOURCES / BOOKS TO PREPARE!!!!!!!
for everyone preparing for step 3, for heaven's sake, keep ur prep simple but thorough. have a primary source and one or two secondary sources. i usually advice people to use kaplan step2 ck notes as ur primary source and read the following-- from swansons: read geriatrics and sports medicine. from CMDT: read alternative medicine. honeatly for the mcq's, thats all u need. then do UW and kaplan q-book, but use them more as a learning tool that to gauge ur preparedness!!!!.
for CCS, i'll say it a million times, get ur hands on MUSA'S GOLDEN RULES FOR THE CCS. honestly thats all u need. bcos,trust me, u will know the diagnosis of the cases, but its the fine points in proper sequencing that will see u through. and then PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!!, for those that believe in God, Allah!!! u have to pray.
but once again for heaven's sake, limit ur reading to as adviced above inorder to avoid being confused. step 3 is tricky but doable and i passed wih a score of 85.

hello
i have my step 3 in three weeks
i have solved usmleworld, and have done the ccs cases once from uworld,
i have just started reading kaplan step 3 notes and i am solving steps 123 ccs
anyother advice......
i m really scared!

I appreciate your recommendations- can you please tell me what is kaplan step 2 ck notes(are these similar to step 3 lecture notes?). I took my USMLE Step 1 and 2 in 2001, I am now preparing for step 3, hence my ignorance.

:I have similar problem as DrOrange. I tried everything but only got 72/177 this time. I found I was always low in continuing care, clinical intervention, ethics, and behavior. I don't know how to improve this. Please help. Thanks! confused:
