can anyone tell me if we need to untie the gown from behind and pull the robe down to examine both the shoulders(in case of shoulder pain?)coz in UW videos,the doc does it with the gown on!

yeah u are rite ... untie gown and pull it down in sitting position till chest that way u can see both shoulders for inspection , palpation and muscle strength ,judge time left and accordingly do ROM either by removing gown completely off the hands too or tie gown back and check ROM (if there is no time) ......

can we expose the chest this way in female SPs as well?
for other purposes too-CVS and RS ascultation.........in every case?

well i guesss yes u can ..... cannot auscultate with gown on and just b considerate b4 doing it , telll her u need to expose her chest to hear heart and lungs .... then is that ok ????? mostly she will say yes , in this way u are askin permission and being professional .........
