hi all..

Back on the forum after a long time...well I graduated in 2000.My Scores are 81,82,PASS.. preparing for step 3 these days.i worked with a family physician in canada for over an year at his clinic as an assistant. As i know that some programs do consider canadian clinical experience, but would it be helpful for those programs who says USCE required.I have also done canadian boards exams and currently hold canadian citizenship(will it be helpful too)..I m asking this because its been some time since graduation...Any input would be higly appreciated..

Hi druas:
I am exactly in the same boat as you are; my year of graduation, scores, citizenship status, etc. exactly same as yours.........Anyways can I ask you about ur country of origin and medical school? and where do u live in Canada?
Thanks!

Druas: when you are about to apply, do a research regarding the requirements of the residency programs, I am sure you'll find some you'll be able to get interviews at. Try and have a good, special LOR from this doctor you worked with. I think you are in good shape, but not for those very competitive programs.

Yes arlete i will definately get a good and strong LOR from this doctor.I am trying to find Observership or reaserach in US but not successful uptil now.But i am getting a chance to work at a neurology clinic in US which will lend me an LOR...Should i go for it..Whats ur opinion..and definately i am not aiming only at those competitive program...
