Hi azzlou,
I suggest that you listen to goljan audio and read Goljan 36 or 100 pages, Garam masala (check on google, it is somewhere free on the web), do FA 2004.
I suggest Goljan because he simplifies and makes concepts easy. Also you can try valuemd.com where someone has put a large number of High Yield concept questions with answers. It was started a couple of days before my exam and even after my exam I looked through them and they were a lot similar (some the same) as the questions I had in exam.
Keep talking positively to yourself. Avoid focussing on failures. Forgetting what lies behind, press on to what lies ahead. Let go of the past.
The key point is to remain calm and not make a big deal out of this exam. Also get a hold of what concepts they are trying to address and test us on. As you do Goljan, FA, those HY questions and other stuff as you feel fit, you will be able to ace this exam.
My best wishes for you,
Meg

Hi II_112,
I am an IMG and finished my medschool in India. The regular MBBS (undergrad 5 1/2 +1 year internship). Apart from several Indian authors that we could use and did use, we also used many of the books they use here... like Anatomy - we do use Gray/Snell. For Physio Guyton/Ganong, Biochem- Harper, Pharm- Goodman and Gilman, Micro- Jawetz, Medicine- Harrison, Davidson etc....
your english is totally fine. grin If you are in medschool right now, be attentive and learn the concepts well. Attend clinical postings with enthusiasm to learn, the patient is your biggest teacher! and be in a friend circle that is interested in learning the subject well.
all the best,
Meg

sounds to me you are in medical school (preclinical years). It might be good to keep doing well in school, learning the concepts as you are taught and reading the relevant chapters in the prescribed text books at your school. Then you could try FA or some other review book and then get into Kaplan notes and other stuff. Focus on your school portion first, that will boost up your confidence as you do well in school. And whatever you learn in your school, that will last longer in your memory. Work hard.
all the best,
Meg
