What I'd like to say to ppl. is yea F A is good so is UW. Do both. Repeat what u like best once more. Do all cases as u as a doctor. Expect anyhing in a patient so quickly ask all. Sometimes expect nothing still ask all. They give out hints sometimes but under pressure we might miss it. Sometimes they are just tired and u think hey something is surely going on. If someone behaves inappropriately mention on pn.(i didn't coz wasn't sure if it was real or a part of the case bottom lin ei sud have.) Always make SP comfortable right in the beginning tell them they sud feel free to ask u any qs. or address any concerns at anytime. Some SP u have to drill for answer try not to go by their expression (as if that were possible) Anyway, it not so bad..........when u do things over and over again it comes to u like second nature.Make mnenonics. be the last one to go in but be the most relaxed with all the data on ur sheet.Quickly go over all ur qs. Then when washing ur hands ask then if they wanna add to whatever u just asked them. They will of course say no. Look out for signs of discomfort , sudden pain on doing something, anxiety.Always shake hands before u leave as well.If a pt. is slow in answering...duh! SP disoriented. Did i think or write...well no messed my big case coz my mind was with my sick son. So get everything out of ur mind ppl. For those many hours the world doen't exsit.
The proctors at Houston are really good, (except one, she was kinda stuck up and was mad that i didn't come out at announcement....i was wrapping up.She wrote something on her sheet or so i thot) The food is good. If u have any problems like u are sick or emergency at home inform them before hand they'll be helpful . Yes u can get lab coats and steths. there. There were many IMGs at my center a few AMGs too but everyone was feeling like one and were friendly.
U heart will pound for the first two cases but then u'll be fine. But slowly u'll catch on. Do just what is asked. Don't forget things like Colonscopy, Pap smear and breast exam even if not reqd. BE KIND and GENTLE. DON'T FORGET to DRAPE, wash ur HANDS WELL they are watching. Use wipe to close tap. Advise about anything the moment u think it's rt. u might not have time later.
Except that one case i did ok...i missed a couple of things here and there but i was dis oriented to after a night of staying up with my No Sense Of timing son!

Thanks Coca I was just so out of it for the first few cases that i didn't feel so good about it in th beginning now am over it. We'll see. My son is better now. thank u like i said before no sense of timing!

can we expose the chest in female pts for ascultation of cCVS AND RS?
is it acceptable if for RS we go behind the back and ascultate the back only(for RS)?
i am talking in context to the quick RS AND CVS we do in all cases.

U can do RS from behind in the quick ones but u still have to open the gown and CVS has to be fromm front so u have to ask them to lower the gown,please so I can listen blah........... Also don't forget the cud u plz. lift ur left breast up for me? I almost had to ask a man........but kept my mouth shut. Ithink he expected me to though!
