Hi Bbb,

i read your comments on the 5 year cutoff period.

I am a surgeon in continous surgical practice since 1990 in India. I desire to do my residency in the US now. Does that mean I have no scope.

Did you notice the work "if" in my message?

If the cut off is five and the program sticks to it, then 6 years will be cut out. Is it fair? Not really, but when a program receives 4000, 5000, 6000 applications a year, we have to start somewhere. My program has a five year cut off, we filter at 7 years to catch persons who may have done a residency in their home country - that is valuable experience.
